If i buy a new video card, preferrably a nvidia geforce 8800gt. I ahve to buy a better power supply. my current video card is a ati xpress 200 series. I know my power supply HAS to be a good one to support the card, but is that the only thing i have to update/buy a new one in order to run call of duty 4 or those new games smoothly, or do i have to buy a new processor and those stuff too?|||Depending on your motherboard, you may have to upgrade that as well. If you upgrade the motherboard you may have to upgrade the processor and the ram. You also may need to upgrade the cooling in your case because of the extra heat the video card will generate. In the end you might need to upgrade pretty much the entire system.|||i dont know what processor you currently have.
these are the minimum specs for Call of duty 4, as posted on the official website:
# CPU: 2.4 GHz dual core or better is recommended
# RAM: 1GB for XP; 2GB for Vista is recommended
# Harddrive: 8GB of free hard drive space
# Video card: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better|||you should specify your system specs.
to run new gen games like COD4 smoothly, you need a dual core processor, atleast 2ghz. atleast 2GB RAM and a good GPU like the 8800GT. if you have the extra buck, try using a board with an FSB of 1066 and above so that it can maximize the power of your CPU and GPU.
