What is a good video card what isn't too much money.
atm i have a good computer with good space and ram all i need is a better video card because its very basic and not many games can run off of it.
I have a Hp Pavilion dv6000 and a Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chip set video card please help.|||I too have the 945 chipset, and you are lucky to even play solitaire on it. Sadly for the pair of us there is going to be no serious gaming going on on these laptops. My desktop, however, kicks 3D ***!|||Sorry can't upgrade the video card in a laptop|||You CAN upgrade the video card in some laptops such as the DELL XPS or ASUS Gaming laptops but been as you have a Mobile Chip set I'm afraid that you can not upgrade the video card on the DV6000. However the DV range uses Hyper-memory so the More RAM you have the more RAM is dedicated to the Graphics up to the maximum of shared graphics memory the laptop will allow

What is the best Video Graphics Card for a 300W Power Suppy?
I wondering if I remain with my originally 300W Power Supply, can I still a decent Graphics Card? Can anyone tell me which card is best!!!|||One of my older machines is a Pentium-4 Cedar Mill system on an Intel D945 motherboard, with a 8600GT vid card, using a Seasonic Super Tornado 300W power supply.
The 8600GT vid card has a maximum power draw of 50 watts (which is nothing compared to some monster cards like the 9800GTX with a maximum draw of 160W). A 300W PSU should have no problems at all with this card, assuming the rest of your system is typical (a mainstream dual-core CPU and 1-2 HDD).
It should run those games you mentioned previously really well (Sims 1 and 2, Age of Empires III, Civ 4, etc.).
If you really want to push that 300W PSU, you might want to give the 9600GT a try. It's a 65-nanometer GPU that draws 95 watts max. Might be testing the upper limits of that 300W PSU, but should work if the rest of your system is typical.

Can HP ZD7000 video card be replaced?
The video card on my HP ZD7000 is out of work. Does anybody know if this is a replaceable part? I would discard the laptop if I have to buy a whole new motherboard. If it is replaceable, where can I buy a new or used video card? Thanks.|||Get ready to buy a new laptop|||It is not replaceable since it is integrated onto the motherboard.|||There were three or four different motherboards made for that model of laptop. Some had upgradeable graphics chips while others did not. You'll have to contact HP and ask them if your laptop has an MXM module in it. Looking for an amazing video card?
I'm building a new gaming computer, I want to be able to play starcraft2, world of warcraft and star wars the old republic on the highest settings. What video card would be best? I've looked at a few but I don't know much about video cards. Here are some I have looked at
1GB DDR5 Radeon HD 6850
3GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 545
2GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 530
Thanks!|||Among them, the best is the HD 6850, because personally, I think it is in par with the GTX 550 Ti. On the other note, If you have at lease $250, go get the 560 Ti 448 cores. It's probably one of the best cards NVidia has built using the Fermi architecture.|||If money is not a problem, then a Nvidia GTX 580 is a good choice. Today it is one of the most powerful cards (if not the most). It can run pretty much game on highest settings. If you're not going to be playing any games that need a very powerful card for highest settings (Battlefield 3 for example), then the 6850 is a good choice for the price. I personally have a HIS 6850 and it's a good card. I've been playing Skyrim at ~40-60 FPS on high (20-30 in cities). I can't really give any personal advice with a Nvidia card.

Will a video card with DDR2 memory work on a motherboard that has DDR memory?
