Is a V266b mobo w/ AGP4x slot support an AGP8x video card?

im currently using a jetway v266b motherboard that has an agp4x slot. can an agp8x video card work in my motherboard, eg. a Geforce FX 5200 or 5500, without any errors/issues?|||YUP, AGP is backward compatible meaning you can use a 4x card in a 8x slot and an 8x card in a 4x slot, but using an 8x speed card in a 4x speed slot will only let the card operate at 4x and using a 4x card in an 8x slot will not speed up the card|||most likely that motherboard does by now. If you check Jetways website and see if they have a bios update, most likely if there is an update there is support for x8... Sounds like it is time for a new CPU/MB. You would be so happy if you did...
